Manufacturer Blizzident claims the new invention eliminates brushing errors and can reach areas a traditional toothbrush cannot.

The company create a 3D model of a person’s teeth, based on a dentist’s impression or scan, for each individual customer.

Designed to look like a gumshield, each brush contains around 400 bristles and requires users to grind their teeth to create the cleaning action.

Traditional manual and electric toothbrushes clean only as well as your brushing technique and discipline is,’ explains the Blizzident website.

‘And even with a good technique, there are always regions you cannot reach, because of the geometry of your manual/electric toothbrush and bristles.

‘Blizzident eliminates all those user errors completely. Just by biting a couple of times, you clean everywhere, and with perfect technique.’

The only catch is the technology comes with a £250 price tag and only lasts for 12 months before the brush has to be replaced.
